Honda surprised the motoring world today with the release of the radical and futuristic Honda FC Sport, a three-seat Hydrogen-powered design study that hints at the future of Honda sports cars to come. Using the Honda V Flow fuel cell setup already found in the Honda FCX Clarity, the FC Sport is the supercar to the FCX’s stately sedan.

With main focus on extreme design but keeping an eye on the environment, the graduates at the Royal College of Art have competed for the 2008 Pilkington Automotive Vehicle Design award, with several futuristic cool cars ideas.
Among these graduates were Ian Callum, the Jaguar design chief, Peter Schreyer, the original Audi TT designer and current head of Kia design, Marek Reichman, the design director at Aston Martin, and many other important figures from the industry.
The winners of the RCA Vehicle Design 2008 were Pierre Sabbas for the best car concept and Jon Radbrink for best using of glazing.

BMW has announced the launch of diesel variants of its 5-series in India. The cars – 520d and 530d – are priced between Rs 36.90-46.80 lakh, ex-showroom. ‘The BMW 5-series is in the luxury business class car segment, and it is our goal to continue providing our customers in India with the highest standards of all-around quality, safety, and perfection to ensure the highest levels of comfort and luxury,’ said Peter Kronschnabl, president, BMW India.
